Mobile / SMS Marketing Systems Reviewed – Rough

August 18, 2011

Mobile is clearly going to be integral for any successful marketing and/or advertising campaign these days.  Which Mobile Solutions Provider is the best?

At this point the best way I can define a great mobile marketing provider would be one that covered these bases:

-an intuitive interface and solid web infrastructure

-a well rounded product suite ( quality mobile website creator, app creator, all the fun social stuff, text to vote, widgets, video handling games and all)

-friendly, available customer support

-a fair compensation structure for re-sellers including incentives for developing sales teams and quality training materials for getting them up to speed.

-competitive pricing and a nice clean web storefront again for reselling the services.

I do a lot of consulting and web project management, www.BrianFirthConsulting.com so the company needs to be easily presented to clients for me but even more importantly it has to be top shelf and priced competitively.

I am just now starting to evaluate the different solutions providers in the mobile space.  These companies seam to have broken apart so far with compelling offerings and a pretty user friendly feel.  Customer service so far has been outstanding with all four as well.  It’s going to be a tough contest! :-)

There’s a few providers that seam to have their act together but I still have a lot to learn in the mobile universe so I’m not confident comparing and reviewing the different services yet.  Please post your comments below though! I’ll continue doing my research and we’ll see if we can sort this thing out.

And here a few more quality mobile vendors recommended vendors from Kim Dushinski and her recommendations on mobile website construction solutions.

I’m very interested in the systems and methods that are going to transition smoothly and play nicely with existing print, media, and web marketing efforts.  Please feel free to voice any of your questions or concerns, advice or information.  Whatever you want!

Thanks Marnie, typically I’m apprehensive about services that are connected to network marketing compensation plans bc/ they often times don’t deliver the value to the consumer bc/ so many people are getting a commission from the sale.. Here’s the baseline package from Izigg… seams like a pretty well rounded suite of products… 3 cents a message I guess?.. I’m still trying to make sense of it all but maybe you can highlight the added value from Izigg. How’s the Social Connect thing work?

Nevermind the Social connect thing I watched the video on that on your blog.. nothing too exciting, just basic messaging syndication which Facebook doesn’t really like. handy I guess for some people but I was looking for more of a Facebook app that could tie in surveys, voting, games, you know the fun and viral parts of social media.. anyway, I’m still looking! http://www.iziggblog.com/training

Sms sending as mass email sending are considered spam, if a person is not signatory to the feed. Even the fact that the letters or SMS have addresses for unsubscribing, this is also spam … Sending email is much cheaper. When viewed from the side that you have subscribers, mobile marketing is a major tool in this case than sending email. It is good that the numbers of companies are growing involved in mobile marketing, but I think that the price of their services should be lower.

That’s a good point Galina. Compared to email marketing SMS is quite a bit more expensive typically. That why out of the 4 providers I’ve been looking at, listed here http://www.Adzmobile.com and they’re free texting seams the most attractive at this point. I”m still doing my homework on those companies and now Izigg, thanks Marnie :-) so I can recommend my clients and use the best service. btw, I am http://www.BrianFirthConsulting.com offering a free 20 minute phone consulting for a limited time! Fill out my form over there and look over what you have together and then set up a phone chat and give you my 2 cents for free! Looking to take on another web client or two! Thanks everybody for your feedback on the mobile stuff! cheers, -Brian

Yes, also Typically through SMS Mobile Marketing, consumers already know the company and a text message can sound like very personalized.

The value to me Lawrence is the fact that people still read their texts! I know my email is so full of junk, 9 out of 10 emails goes straight to the trash! Personalized is a good adjective! The bottom line is that our phones are fast becoming the center of our worlds from communication to entertainment and business, any marketing professional worth their salt better figure it out!
