Twitter – Tweeting fundamentals

I sat in on a Twitter Talk with @Dharmesh Dharmesh Shah, Founder and CTO, Hubspot and creator of TwitterGrader. Mr. Shah was fun, funny, and extremely informative. I’m going to fish the slide show that went along but I gathered these strong bullet points;

Register a personal Twitter handle and your business business along with variations of your business name and KEEP THEM SHORT!!
Your profile has to answer right away “Why do I care?”
Locate the stars in your industry and follow them.
Robots suck.
Don’t spam.
Make it stupid easy to retweet.
1pm is the optimal twitter time.
Ask for retweets.
Don’t tweet about yourself.

Bit.ly is the best shortner for analytics Su.pr is another good one because you can get your tweets stumbled at the same time.
